A little about: Gothic Architecture
Image Credit: PikPick Gothic architecture was developed in medieval Europe during the 12th century and is most known for its showing in cathedrals and large churches. The style is marked by pointed arches, ribbed vaults, flying buttresses, and towering vertical columns. Large stained-glass windows and intricate stone carvings are also commonly included to bring light and a sense of spirituality into the building. Nowadays, gothic architecture is no longer built. |
