A little about: Brutalist Architecture

Brutalist architecture was popularized in the 60s and is characterized by its bold, blocky structures and use of concrete, steel, and glass. The style emphasizes functionality, often exposing structural elements rather than concealing them behind decoration. Brutalist buildings tend to have massive, fortress-like appearance with geometric forms and repetitive patterns. One of the best examples of Brutalist architecture is the campus of the University of Massarchussetts Dartmouth.
