Nimbostratus clouds are low-level, thick, and gray clouds that stretch wide across the sky and are seen all year, especially in the wintertime. These are often formed when warm, moist air rises and condenses at a low altitude into tiny water droplets. These clouds are often associated with steady and continuous precipitation, rain or snow, and gloom and gray.
