The New England Patriots of the National Football League don't have a stadium in Boston but are still considered a Boston team. They play at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough Massachusetts. The Patriots have six Lombardi Trophies which is tied for the most with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Patriots won titles in 2001, 2003, 2004, 2014, 2016, 2018. The 2000 teams also appeared in three additional Super Bowls that they lost - 2008, 2012 and 2018. The Patriots have been a part of some of the most memorable games. There was heartache in 2007 when the Patriots went undefeated in the regular season but lost in the Super Bowl to the New York Giants. Then there was immense joy when the Patriots came back down 28-3 and won the 2016 Super Bowl against the Atlanta Falcons. The team has been fortunate with legendary players Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Randy Moss, Adam Vinatieri, John Hannah. All time great defensive players including Ty Law, Tedy Bruschi, Matt Light, Logan Mankins, Mike Vrabel and Rodney Harrison. And then there was THE best QB to ever play football, Tom Brady. Brady was behind the six championships with the Patriots and he won a super bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also has five MVP awards
