CelticsThe Boston Celtics were founded in 1946 and played in the Boston Garden, which was renamed TD Garden. The Celtics have the most championships in NBA history with 18. From 1957 to 1969, the Celtics won 11 championships in 13 years. The Celtics of the 1980s were celebrated for reviving the NBA and saving it from financial distress with their rivalry with the LA Lakers and their championships in 1981, 1984 and 1986. The Celtics would have no championships in the 90s but would find success again in 2008 and 2024. The Celtics were lead by legendary players throughout the decades that included Bill Russell, Bob Cousy, John Havlicek, Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Dennis Johnson and Robert Parrish. Other important players include Paul Pierce, Sam Jones, Dave Cowens and Kevin Garnett.
