Ultralights
Ultralights are some of the smallest and simplest flying machines in aviation. They are designed to be lightweight, affordable, and easy to fly, often giving pilots an experience that feels easier and more free than flying a traditional airplane. Many ultralights have open cockpits, small engines, and basic controls, making them popular among recreational pilots.
Unlike larger aircraft, ultralights are usually built for short local flights and low-altitude flying. Some resemble tiny airplanes, while others look more like powered hang gliders or trikes. Because of their lightweight design, they can take off and land in very short distances and use much less fuel than conventional aircraft.
For many aviation enthusiasts, ultralights are pure fun of flying. They may not be fast or luxurious, but they offer an experience of freedom and simplicity. Even though they fly just like any other aircraft, ultralights do not require any license to fly, so long as you follow the rules.
