Cargo Aircraft

Cargo aircraft are designed to transport goods instead of passengers. Every day, these aircraft carry everything from online orders and mail to medical supplies and heavy equipment across the world. Without cargo aviation, overnight shipping and fast international deliveries would be much more difficult.

Many cargo planes are based on existing passenger aircraft that have been modified to carry freight. Aircraft like the Boeing 747 Freighter and Boeing 767F are used by companies such as FedEx and UPS because of their large payload capacity and long range. Some cargo aircraft have nose sections that open upward, allowing oversized cargo like vehicles or machinery to be loaded directly into the aircraft.

Cargo aviation operates around the clock, often with flights taking place late at night while most people are asleep. Even though cargo planes usually don't get as much attention as passenger jets, they are a crucial part of the aviation industry and help keep businesses, hospitals, and supply chains running every day.
