Golf Traditions

Golf is a sport built on long lasting traditions and respect for the overall game. Players are expected to show honesty, sportsmanship, and proper golf etiquette both on and off the course. Traditions such as shaking hands after a round, wearing professional golf attire, such as collared shirts, and remaining quiet during swings have been part of golf culture for decades. Famous events like The Masters also maintain unique tradition, including the awarding of the green jacket to the winner. These traditions help preserve the history of golf and give the sport a sense of class and respect like no other.
