Scoring in GolfScoring in golf is based on the number of strokes a player takes to complete each hole for the entire course. Every hole has a “par”, which is the expected number of strokes needed to finish it. If a golfer completes a hole in fewer strokes than par, it is called a birdie or an eagle, while scores above par are called bogeys or double bogeys. The player with the lowest total score at the end of the round wins. Since lower scores are better, golfers constantly try to find balance between power, accuracy, and smart decision making throughout the entire game.
