How to Study:

  • Use a Pomodoro Timer, this will hold you accountable for staying focused while studying and help you organize your time in blocks, allowing you to take breaks in the process. Further, taking breaks while studying actually helps you to better retain information and focus better while actually studying.
  • Write notes by hand to enhance memorization of content. Use flash cards, rewrite notes, or brain dump on paper to effectively study.
  • Layout/ find study resources before your study session, this prevents you from wasting time looking for resources when you are supposed to be studying. Make sure you're sure the resources are good before you start using them, the resources I've provided should be worth your time, but finding what works for you is what's important.
  • Listen to Brown Noise or Binaural Study Music to drown out background noise and enhance focus
  • Find a quiet place to study. Make a space for yourself where you have optimal focus conditions and can stay on task without distraction. If you are able to, go to a library, they offer the best study conditions.
