Honors GeometryClass DescriptionThis course is taught to help students develop a solid foundation of geometric ideas including points, lines, planes, angle relationships and formal proofs. Students study parallel and perpendicular lines, transformations, congruence and similarity, triangle relationships, center, quadrilaterals and other polygons, trigonometry, circles, coordinate geometry, and area. Geometry’s emphasis on logical reasoning and precise thinking improves a student’s communication skills in all areas of life as they work both collaboratively and independently. Algebraic skills are continually reviewed and strengthened through application to geometric problem solving. Resources |
