Donnie Darko is one of the first movies I ever watched as a teenager with the mindset that I would try and get something out of it. Needless to say, after seeing 200 total films in the past almost year, this film still holds up as something entirely unique and special to me. Donnie Darko follows a teenager by the same name as he navigates high school with schizophrenia. It is known for it's great commentary on the way society views people, especially teenagers with mental disorders.
