Ravioli is a very famous type of pasta in Italy. This dish is usually filled with ricotta cheese, spinach, nutmeg, and black pepper. The reason why it is called ravioli is because the word originates from the Italian name word riavvolgere and this means "to wrap". Ravioli is very commonly served with either red sauce or a broth of some sort.
