Jupiter

Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system and is known for its colorful appearance, with swirling bands of clouds and a prominent Great Red Spot that is a massive storm larger than the size of Earth. It has a diameter of about 139,822 kilometers, making it more than 11 times larger than Earth, and a day on Jupiter lasts only about 9 hours and 56 minutes, while one year is equal to about 12 Earth years. Jupiter has a very strong magnetic field and a thick atmosphere mostly composed of hydrogen and helium. The planet has many moons, with the four largest being Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto, known as the Galilean moons, and has been studied extensively by both spacecraft and telescopes to better understand its composition, atmosphere, and unique features.
