Washington D.C.

Washington, D.C is the capital of the United States. It is home to several major government buildings such as the White House, the Library of Congress, and the U.S. capital building.

Washington D.C. is famous for its cherry blossom trees, given as a gift to the United States from the mayor of Tokyo in 1912. Since then, the anual Cherry Blossom Festival celebrates Japan's gift every spring when the cherry blossom trees are in full bloom.
