Paint is a liquid pigment that is applied to a solid material and allowed to dry. Paint can be made in many colors and types. Most paints are either oil-based or water-based, and each has distinct characteristics.
Purple
Purple is relatively rare in nature, and the exotic color has been considered sacred. It's often refered to as a royal color. The dye to make purple came from the Phoenician trading city of Tyre, now in modern-day Lebanon.
