Shenzhen
As China's 'poster child' city, Shenzhen not only boasts an impressive population of over 17 million, but also modern spectacles of infrastructure. In particular, Shenzhen is known for is green spaces and bright skyline.
Shenzhen has quite an interesting story. For millenium the city was unremarkable and unimportant. Up until the 1980s the city had a population number in the low 10s of thousands. However, being one of four special economic zones (areas were free trade and capitalist practices were encouraged) Shenzhen quickly grew to one of the most influential and important cities in all China
