History of Figure Skating at the Olympics
Figure skating made its Olympic debut at the 1908 Summer Games in London before becoming a key event in the first Winter Olympics in 1924. Over time, the sport has evolved to include men's and women's pairs, and ice dancing competitions, the difference between those being figure skating focuses on the fact that it's a pair sport.
