Milk Based Desserts: Tres Leches

Tres Leches is a very well known Latin American dessert with a spongy vanilla cake as a base, soaked in a mixture of cream. This sweet mixture consists of three different types of milk: evaporated milk, condensed milk, and whole milk. When the vanilla sponge cake is surrounded by these types of milk, it becomes moist and creamy. On top of the cake is usually a heavy cream or whipped cream, as well as fruit or sugar.
