New York
New York was the capital of the United States from 1785 to 1791. New York was originaly named New Amsterdam by the Dutch before the British renamed it New York.
There are more than 800 languages spoken in New York. The Brooklyn Bridge is 11 years older than the Tower Bridge in London.
