Columbus Day is a federal holiday in the United States that celebrates the anniversary of Columbus arriving in America. There are several states that no longer celebrate Columbus Day, instead replacing it with celebrations of Indigenous People's Day. Indigenous People's Day honors the indigenous people of America and as their culture.
Columbus day is celebrated on the second Monday in October.
