Greetings!I don't read a lot of novels, even though I wish I read more. I frequent Barnes and Noble, but I often rush straight to their manga (Japanese comic) section. It's a little embarassing, but it's what I read most of the time. Sue me. Last year, we read Animal Farm in my English class, and I fell in love with that book. It probably sounds weird to really love a book that you're required to read for SCHOOL, but what can I say, George Orwell is a great writer. A couple of years ago, I was at a sleepaway camp over the summer. There was one night that I was wide awake all night, tired, but not being able to sleep. My friend (seemingly in the same situation), was reading a book to pass tame and handed me the other one she had finished a couple days earlier. It was called The Obsession. The story detailed a high school girl who killed her stepdad and a high school boy who stalked her. Super weird book and not something that I would usually read, but I was hooked. I now own the novel, and it collects dust on my shelf. The most recent manga that I've picked up was the first volume of the book adaption of OMORI, a videogame that was released in 2020. It started getting released in Japan in 2024, but the first translated copy came out on the 17th. The next translated volume doesn't come out until June, so for now, I'm considering buying the Japanese copies on eBay. Yes, I'm that desperate. Here's a photo of a weird book that I found in Barnes and Noble the other day.
